VIETGEO NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE 2019
GEOTECHNICS AND CONSTRUCTION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
In an effort to enhance the position of Mien Tay Construction University as well as to increase the exchange of experiences and scientific research results with scientists across the country, Mien Tay Construction University in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Engineering Geology and Environment; Vietnam Association of Hydrogeology; Vietnam Association of Drilling Technology and Mining; University of Mining and Geology; The Southern Department of Work - Ministry of Construction and Technical World Co.Ltd organized the VIETGEO national scientific conference 2019 "Geotechnics And Construction For Sustainable Development" on October 25th and 26th, 2019. More than 200 representatives from departments; universities, researchers; scientists; industry leading experts in geology, minerals, construction, lecturers who are interested in the conference and media agencies attended the conference.
VietGeo National Scientific Conference 2019
Among 87 topics and scientific projects have been posted in the Conference Proceedings with ISBN numbers, there were 26 live reports on research results in the fields of Civil Engineering and Building materials; Engineering Geology - Geotechnics; Hydrogeology and Environment; Drilling technology to meet the needs of sustainable development at the conference. Mr. Hoang Hai - Director of the Southern Department of Work - Ministry of Construction highly appreciated the research results which were announced at the conference, especially in the time of the Mekong Delta in particular and the country in general is facing many difficulties and challenges from the impacts of climate change.

On the same day, GeoData Joint Stock Company awarded to the Mien Tay Construction University a set of GeoData software for drawing cylinders, geological cross sections of works and one year of searching geological data on GeoData applications.
